At NPCC, the Sea Oat is more than a plant —

it’s a powerful symbol of our mission and identity.

Commonly found along our island’s shoreline, Sea Oats bend gracefully in the wind, yet they are remarkably strong. Their deep, intertwined roots anchor and protect our fragile shores, preventing erosion and providing stability in shifting sands.

In much the same way, we believe a thriving, Christ-centered community offers strength, unity, and support to each of its members. Like the Sea Oat, we are stronger when rooted together — growing in faith, weathering life’s storms, and standing firm through God’s provision.

Sea Oats remind us that even on uncertain ground, God gives us the strength to grow, endure, and flourish — together.
